Johnson County Native Plant Partnership’s mission is to support stewardship of local lands and waters by reducing the impact of invasive species. The group is a Johnson County Soil and Water Conservation District program and is supported by local volunteers.
landowner surveys
Johnson County Native Plant Partnership is currently conducting landowner surveys to help landowners in Johnson County identify invasive plant species, educate on how to successfully remove those species from their property, and why it is important to place native species on their properties. We will work with landowners to make a management plan for their property and suggest native plants to replace the invasive species that are removed. If you have any questions, please reach out to info@jocoswcd.org or fill out the form below to request your survey!
each year we host spring and fall weed wrangles to help educate johnson county landowners on why it’s important to manage invasive species, identification of invasive species, and best practices for removal of those species… then we roll up our sleeves and get to work!
