Join the Johnson County Native Plant Partnership's Strike Team to remove invasive species from Johnson County Park! This event will begin at 10am with education on invasive species identification lesson. We will then roll up our sleeves and get to work removing Callery Pear, Asian Bush Honeysuckle, and more until noon.

Then from Noon to 2pm, we will venture over to the Johnson County Park Native Prairie to collect native seed for participants to take home and use on their own property. We will learn about the plants and the importance of going native on your own property. Possible species of plants include Rosinweed, Prairie Dock, Wild Bergamot, Compass Plant, Grey Coneflower, and more.

Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather. close toed shoes, long sleeves & pants are recommended! Bring your own water bottle & be ready to get dirty!
